About Us
In May 2024 a group of campus ministers, local church pastors, and children’s & youth workers met for a day of prayer and dreaming—all with the hope of planting a new faith community with a few ideas in mind.
First, that it met at a time other than Sunday mornings. So many of us work on the weekends, are catching up on sleep after a long week of school, or are simply not morning people. The church isn’t tied to a specific time slot, but God shows up when we gather.
Second, that it was focused on living life the Jesus Way—-that maybe if we could build something from the ground up, we could focus on that without so many other distractions.
And finally, that it involved meals together. People are hungry (for food and for God) and what better way to gather around the grand story of God than eating together, often.
This is totally a work in progress (perhaps the church gathered always is) but if this speaks to you, we hope you’ll become church with us.

Our purpose-
To call people to live the Jesus Way, together.
Our values-
-
Community
Acts 2:42-47
Loneliness stinks! Life is better lived together, so let’s actually do it and become a community rooted in love and prayer. A place where we’re together for the highs and lows, the joys and sorrows, and the mundane and the “fundane.” Community rooted in being known by God and by others. -
Spiritual Formation
Matthew 7:24-28
We’re all being spiritual formed, it’s just by a matter of what. So we choose to formed by Jesus--his ways, his teachings, his resurrection. By entering into practises of Sabbath, silence, service, fasting, simplicity, and confession (just to name a few) we create space in our souls to be formed by the Holy One. -
Worship
Psalm 150
At its core—it’s about ascribing worth and we believe God is worthy. We join with Christians past, present, and future in telling and experiencing God’s grand redemptive story through Word and Sacrament, prayer, music, and art. All of this a recognition of God’s real presence with us, in us, and for us. -
Hospitality
John 21:1-17
Jesus makes space for everyone at his table of goodness and grace and so do we. By serving others, going out of our way in love, listening deeply, and feeding the body (and the soul) we become ambassadors to the kingdom of God. Our lives a living example and invitation to encounter the God who relentlessly pursues us. -
Social Justice
Isaiah 58:1-9
Everyday we see the signs of a humanity in distress: war, hunger, abuse of power, hatred, neglect, and oppression. Jesus calls us to be a people of peace and our Methodist heritage reminds us to first do no harm then do good—so we pray for and seek liberation, justice, and Shalom for all.
Our beliefs-
While a page on a website can never properly speak for an entire faith community, this is an attempt at just that, so we’ll keep it simple with the Apostles’ Creed—an affirmation of faith we often say when gathered and a faith we live out daily in following Jesus.
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the *Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day He rose again.
He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the *Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
* With the understanding that God is neither male nor female, some may wish to interpret "Father" as "Loving, strong Parent".
If you’re looking for more (or are theology nerds like many of us) here are the statements of faith from our denomination. All subordinate to Holy Scripture.
